About Us

Reliable Data Services (later renamed Awesome Webs) was formed as a side-line business by Ray & Georgia Williams while Ray worked in the field of data processing.  Its purpose was to provide professional services to small businesses, churches, and individuals at very reasonable rates.  Ray worked in the computer field for 20 years, spending 10 years working for systems software companies, including Computer Associates.  During that time, he performed services at many large companies:  he was teaching a class at White Sands Missile Range the day the Challenger exploded, and has installed software on the system in Clear Lake (Houston) that runs the space shuttle, as well as many others.

Ray left the computer field to start his own full-time business in a non-related field.  As his business grew, he wanted a website to help it grow more.  Not wanting to pay exorbitant rates for website services, he designed his own website.  People complimented the site and asked him to design a website for them.  As a result, he and Georgia transformed Reliable Data Services into Awesome Webs, and became a provider of websites.  Georgia performed many of the functions for Awesome Webs, and has been running the business since Ray's retirement due to health.

Gary Smith, CDP (Certified Data Processor -- "CPA" for computers), provides technical advice and consultation, providing you with more brain-power behind our services.  Gary has been in the computer business for many years, previously working as a research scientist.  His research group is in the Guinness Book of Records twice.  Semi-retired, he works part-time as an adjunct professor at a college teaching -- what else? -- computer science.

Gary is a "Microsoft Office Specialist," certified in Microsoft Office Access 2003.

Aaron (left) is an accomplished technician, and once worked for a Waco landscaping dealer.  He was chosen to deliver some equipment to President George W. Bush's home in Crawford.  (He was disappointed he didn't get to meet the president ... and both presidents were there.)

Michelle (wedding dress) is a 2003 graduate of Baylor University with a degree in church music.  A professional musician, she is often hired as an accompanist, singer, or organist for weddings, UIL contests, etc.  She is also a Star Recruiter with Mary Kay Cosmetics.

Kyle (center, son-in-law), also a 2003 graduate of Baylor University, is a financial planner.
